Google is introducing its new operating system called Android KitKat that will appear on 50 million KitKat wrappers around the globe in the coming weeks according to the digital giant and Hershey, the candy brand’s United States distributor.
Android versions have been named after calorie intensive and post meal edibles such as Cupcake, Donut, Éclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean. Now is the time for Android KitKat which will not only be named KitKat but will also sport the Android mascot made out of KitKat bars surrounded by KitKat wrappers where codes are hidden. You can use the codes found inside KitKat wrappers to win Google play app store credits and Google Nexus tablets.
“We are proud and excited to have one of the world’s leading mobile innovators pair up with one of America’s favorite chocolate brands,” Jennifer Podhajsky, vp of U.S. chocolate for Hershey, said in a statement. “Google’s choice to name their next Android platform release Kit Kat brings together two well-known icons from pop culture and technology and gives the classic jingle of ‘Gimme a Break’ a whole new meaning in the tech world.”
